Software Engineering Manager

Overview

Role involves managing and leading a software development team for MongoDB projects.

Ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience in leading development teams and a strong background in software development.

Preference will be given to candidates +/-1 hour from CET

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience leading development teams
• Prior software development experience required
• Knowledge of C/C++/Go is a plus
• Experience with MongoDB deployment and management
• Project management experience
• Ability to operate independently
• Strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and maintenance of Percona Distribution for MongoDB
• Hire and lead a team of software developers
• Collaborate with Product Management on roadmaps
• Promote AI tools for engineering efficiency
• Maintain transparency and collaboration across teams
• Own team outcomes and address improvement areas
• Coach and mentor team members
